Yotta Infrastructure's Greater Noida Data Park marks a major advancement in the National Capital Region's (NCR) data infrastructure. As North India's inaugural hyperscale data center park, it is poised to address the escalating demand for digital services and data storage driven by the burgeoning digital economy.

Situated in Greater Noida, this expansive data park spans 20 acres and is led by Darshan Hiranandani. It features a capacity for 30,000 server racks across six interconnected data center buildings. The first of these, Yotta D1, is already operational. With a floor area of 300,000 square feet and an IT load capacity of 28.8 MW, Yotta D1 accommodates 5,000 racks. The entire park benefits from a robust power infrastructure with a total capacity of 250 MW, ensuring reliable service for its clients.

Importance of the Data Park

The data park's strategic location enhances the attractiveness of the upcoming Noida International Airport for businesses and cloud service providers targeting the NCR region. Its proximity to major urban centers combined with state-of-the-art data infrastructure makes it a prime choice for companies seeking modern data solutions. The park is designed to support digital transformation across various client segments, including hyperscalers, enterprises, and government organizations.

Investment and Economic Impact

Under Darshan Hiranandani's leadership, Yotta Infrastructure has invested approximately INR 7,000 crores (about $950 million) in this data center park. This investment is expected to elevate the region's capabilities and foster local economic development through job creation and attraction of IT players. Additionally, this investment will stimulate further employment opportunities and capital influx, enhancing the overall industrial sector and aligning with India's ambition to achieve a $1 trillion digital economy by 2025, as emphasized during the launch ceremony.

Technological Innovations

The Yotta Data Center Park boasts cutting-edge technology to ensure optimal efficiency and security. It features a highly efficient energy model with a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) value of 1.4. To safeguard data and infrastructure, the facility employs advanced security measures, including multiple layers of physical security, surveillance systems, and robust power backup solutions. Furthermore, the park is built with eco-friendly practices, utilizing renewable energy sources to minimize its carbon footprint and adhere to global sustainability trends in the tech industry.

Future Expansion Plans

Yotta Infrastructure plans to further expand the Greater Noida Data Park, with additional buildings scheduled to come online soon. These expansions will enhance the park's capacity and capabilities, solidifying its position as a leading data center hub in northern India. A Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Uttar Pradesh commits INR 39,000 crores over the next 5 to 7 years for continuous development and technological advancements within the park.

The Greater Noida Data Park represents a transformative initiative for data infrastructure in the NCR. With its advanced technology and sustainable practices, it not only addresses the current needs of the digital economy but also lays the groundwork for future growth and innovation. As digital transformation accelerates across India, this data park will play a pivotal role in supporting the nation's digital future.
